My Summer Scrapbook

I recently took a Suzy Platnamara class and while I have not been drawn to these bright colors in the past, her class took me out of my comfort zone and forced me to try something new. . . Loved it!  Thank you Suzy! 
 This is a smaller sized mini album than the one we did in class and the colors are a bit different (I try to downplay the yellows and reds as they are not favorites) but I did copy some of her layout ideas and I really liked the result.  This one was given as a birthday gift to one of my son's friends on her 5th birthday.  It was really easy to create.  Using a Basic Grey mini bracket album (6x6) as a template, I cut the plastic pages from square sheets and  and covered one of the chipboard pages in canvas.  The Fancy Pants kit we used for Suzy's class had felt pages, but I like the canvas even better now that I've tried it this way.  
Dawn and I are in the process of creating several different mini albums in the bright colors with different mediums.  Please check back and chek our etsy store often if you like this album.
